Gen is originally from South Africa. Started Pilates as a client, falling in love with the work and decided to become a trainer. She spent a few years training with Natasha Madel, a recognised 2nd Generation Pilates teacher. Gen is driven by the ability to help people improve their fitness, flexibility, toning and strength.

I came to Bodysense Pilates Studio a few years ago after trying many types of exercise program's including gym, cross-fit, running and non-classical reformer pilates, trying to find the best fit for me.
I have achieved great results (physically and mentally) with Classical Pilates that I haven't got anywhere else. My muscles are leaner and more flexible, my curved-over-desk back is gone and I can maintain perfect posture without even trying and without pain. The mental focus required takes Classical Pilates to another level. There's definitely no time to think about anything else going on in your life, so you do leave a class feeling refreshed and energised.
For 8 years I was needing monthly deep tissue massages to release stress tension in my back and neck. No more!! Classical Pilates keeps my spine supple and free from tension and pain.
Classical Pilates is such the best fit for me that I took it even further and trained as a Classical Pilates instructor at Bodysense pilates Studio.
